Rachel, who runs Monkey Music classes in East Sheen, Chiswick and Hammersmith, was presented with her award by Monkey Music Founder and CEO, Angie Coates.
The Newcomer of the Year award recognises Rachel’s outstanding contribution to Monkey Music, offering fun and educational music classes for babies and young children. More than 185 children now attend Monkey Music classes in East Sheen, Chiswick and Hammersmith, and Rachel’s dedication to giving her families a fun and educational musical learning experience every week was, in the opinion of the judges, exceptional.
Rachel told East Sheen Village: “I’m delighted to receive this award! I love my work with Monkey Music – sharing the wonder of music with babies and toddlers is always a pleasure and I am truly passionate about the delivery, and value, of my classes. I would also like to say thank you to all the fabulous East Sheen families (over 80!) who attend my classes – mums, dads, grandparents, nannies and mannies, all of whom arrive full of enthusiasm! I look forward to welcoming many more new babies and young children to my classes soon!”
Research shows that fun pre-school activities help young children to flourish and give parents a chance to share quality time with their children. Monkey Music’s specialist teachers cater for children from as young as 3 months to 4 years, gently encouraging social and musical skills in a stimulating and friendly environment. Classes are small and tailor-made and Monkey Music makes full use of the 30 minute sessions to captivate children with a combination of catchy music, percussion instruments, visual props and lots of energy. There are also loads of opportunities for the children to experiment with instruments and to make music of their own.
