Congratulations to local independent ice cream parlour Bella del Gelato for winning not one, but nine gold awards with its artisanal products at the 2019 Great Taste Awards!
Great Taste, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. It has been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’. Quite simply the Great Taste logo is the sign you can trust when buying food and drink in your local, quality retailer.
At the awards, over 500 judges, including specially trained food writers inputting judges’ comments, came together at 75 judging days earlier this year.
Artisan ice cream maker Bella del Gelato received two gold stars for its blackcurrant sorbet and one gold star for eight more of their flavours: dairy free chocolate, Macha green tea, Irish coffee, passion fruit sorbet, Mango sorbet, Irish Kyoto green tea, Greek yoghurt and lemon sorbet.
Bella del Gelato are at 343 Upper Richmond Road, open 10am-7pm Monday to Sunday.
