The Council is holding drop-in sessions regarding the proposed East Sheen Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme on Parkside.
Update: the venue for the drop-in session on the 12th of September has changed. The new venue is All Saints Church, East Sheen Ave, SW14 8AX.
A low traffic neighbourhood is designed to keep through traffic on the most appropriate classified road network and discourage/prevent it using unclassified residential roads. This can however cause some inconvenience for local access, so the Council are keen to better understand how most people would like to see the balance of traffic on each road classification.
There are four different packages of measures the Council is seeking local residents’ views on. Enforcement to date has been limited, but if an agreed package is brought forward, these will have the associated enforcement. There is also the option to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in the area.
The drop-in sessions will be held from 4pm to 8pm at Christchurch C of E Church Hall, Christchurch Road, SW14 7AW (Monday 12th August 2019) and at All Saints Church, East Sheen Ave, SW14 8AX (Thursday 12th September 2019).
Officers will be on hand to discuss the traffic data collected to date, to talk through the proposed packages as well as any other thoughts or concerns residents may have. Please attend the sessions before filling out the online questionnaire. Find out more about the plans on the Council website.
