Come and enjoy a car-free Thornton Road on Sunday the 22nd of September, to celebrate World Car Free Day. The street party is organised by Mums For Lungs, a group of local parents concerned about air pollution.
There will be a live band from 12:15pm, traditional games sponsored by Sheen Sports including space hopper fun, a smoothie bike (pedal to make your own smoothie), food stalls by local businesses including Valentina, Culver + Nelson and Lupo Brothers. Entry is free and soft drinks will be provided (bring your reusable cup). After party at the Hare & Hounds with live music and children’s face painting.
Over 65 streets are holding a play street in Richmond borough this September, in a scheme aimed at encouraging children to play outside.
