Wishing a speedy recovery for our postman Dave Parletti

Categories: East Sheen,East Sheen News,News

Dave ParlettiLocal postman Dave Parletti is a familiar figure to many in Sheen, he has a smile for everyone and he’s a much loved member of the local community. He’s also a BDO darts player and has played for England at international level.

We got news from his wife Kirsty that David was recently taken ill while abroad for a darts tournament in Prague. His appendix ruptured and he was rushed to emergency surgery on the 20th of November. Sadly the infection has spread and since then he’s had to have six surgeries in total, he is still in a Czech hospital.

His wife Kirsty writes: “Thank you so much for your well wishes and love to all of us especially to Dave. It all seems to be heading in the right direction. He has not had to have any further operations since his 6th one on Sunday. His bloods results are returning back to normal and he has had one of his post operation tubes removed, just one more to go. If he continues on this path he may be able to travel home sometime in the near future. Please continue to keep him in your prayers through his recovery.”

There is a crowdfunding page to support his young family with the costs incurred during his illness and recovery. Kirsty says: “Thank you so much for your well wishes and support at this time I can’t believe the response we have had in such a short period of time, you are all amazing people, all very overwhelming.”

Please donate on this page if you can and send your well wishes to Dave, Kirsty and young Grace and Louis.
